INTRODUCTION:
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.
We are currently seeking a Scheduler (Barrie) to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Schedule commissionaires at all client sites; manages the scheduling process to avoid overtime and excessive hours;
- Maintains full site coverage at all times; tracks requests for time off including vacation and personal leave requests to ensure site coverage; responds to emergency situations, book-offs, vacation requests and LOA’s to ensure that client sites have full coverage;
- Ensures that accurate schedules are maintained to minimize payroll, and billing errors; interfaces with Regional Managers and the Payroll Department to make corrections;
- Ensures current knowledge of site’s and service requirements, clearance requirements, commissionaires’ availability and time worked, and which Client sites are included and/or excluded from the Union;
- Coordinates scheduling changes with the Regional Managers, Supervisors, and serves as a liaison between the Clients and Regional Managers and Supervisors in resolving scheduling, Site training and payroll problems;
- Ensures that an adequate pool of commissionaires is available to cover vacancies created by absences and call-offs;
- Recommends removal, of commissionaires, from a particular post and or Client site based on substantiated Client complaints, attendance and or other performance issues;
- Advises Regional Managers of any staffing issues that arise due to Client changes;
- Provides administrative support to Site Manager and Regional Manager.
- Ensures that client and employee records in Track Tik are kept current and;
- May be required to operate company vehicle to conduct assignments.
- Other duties as may assigned.
WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:
- *MUST* be able to obtain a Reliability (Level I) Security Clearance (requires 5 years of residency in Canada)
- Understanding of security operations.
- Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with commissionaires and unusual circumstances.

- Shifts: 0800 to 1600hrs
