Job Summary
Responsible for the complete scheduling process up to and including payroll, utilizing the scheduling software. This includes master schedule development and maintenance, preparing rotational schedules, replacing staff, accurate data entry and accurate payroll preparation and entry. All staffing and scheduling processes are completed in accordance with SMH and/or union rules and policies. The Scheduler works as part of a team with on-going communication and collaboration with staff and management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Two (2) year community college diploma in Business or Human Resources
- Two (2) years’ experience as a Scheduler in a unionized healthcare preferred.
- Experience with scheduling software/HRIS (e.g., Quadrant Workforce, QHRnet) and Time and Attendance software preferred.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of collective agreements and employment standards.
Skills and Abilities
- Accurate data entry and ability to generate reports.
- Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Proven ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written English instructions.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent telephone etiquette and ability to share important information to the team, our patients, and community support partners in an accurate manner.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 8:00pm and Saturdays 6:00am - 2:00pm
