Our client, a leading construction contractor, is seeking a Construction Scheduler to join their operations team on a high-profile project. This is a site-based role that offers the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure within a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment.
The Construction Scheduler will support the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules, and contribute to effective planning, execution, and risk mitigation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in engineering, architecture, or construction management who is looking to build their expertise on large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Construction Scheduler:
- Develop proposal and pre-construction schedules.
- Assist with baseline schedule creation and approval.
- Lead or support planning meetings and scheduling workshops.
- Build and maintain cost-loaded schedules with ties to estimates.
- Analyze project progress and forecast future performance.
- Prepare and submit monthly schedule reports.
- Identify scheduling risks and support mitigation strategies.
- Assist with earned value analysis and 4D modeling as applicable.
- Document schedule changes and adverse site conditions.
Qualifications for the Construction Scheduler:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- 1–4 years of related experience in construction scheduling.
- Basic understanding of Primavera P6 is required.
- Exposure to various construction markets (industrial, civil, healthcare, etc.).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Able to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
Additional Information:
- This is a site-based position. Candidates must be comfortable working in an active airfield environment and may require airport security clearance.
- Some travel across the site and exposure to weather and mechanical site conditions is expected.
