Porky's BBQ, Hearth & Spa is a exciting and fun environment to work in, with a dedicated and experienced team. We proudly carry North America’s top brands and serve our valued customers in SW Ontario through our 2 locations in London and Sarnia.
This Position is a Full Time working from our London Location but will service our clients in our Installation, Delivery and Service areas surrounding London and Sarnia.
Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Work with our team of experienced and engaged staff to deliver outstanding customer service and experience.
- Assisting with installation and service of gas-burning appliances (Fireplaces, BBQ's) and Hot Tubs working with our experienced team members. You would be visiting homes and places of business of our clients and expected to provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assembling BBQ grills, ensuring our high-quality standards.
- Preparing orders for retail delivery. Helping with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles at our customers homes while assisting with routing and delivery processes.
- Conduct inside sales activities, assisting customers in our showroom in the BBQ and Fireplace divisions, doing customer follow-ups, and product demonstrations.
- Stock Organization: Arranging shelves, picking out products for packaging, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Inventory Management: Utilizing our POS System. Assisting with inventory counts, ensuring accurate stock levels, and labeling goods correctly.
- Following Safety Procedures: Adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Communicating with Team Members: Communicating with supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Stock Organization: Arranging shelves, picking out products for packaging, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Customer Service: Interacting with customers in a friendly and professional way.
- Cleaning and Maintaining Work Areas: Keeping the back shop, warehouse and showroom areas clean, tidy, and safe.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.A genuine desire to help people by going the extra mile and a healthy respect for co-workers are absolutely essential qualities.
Microsoft Office/365 Competency: Awareness of and able to effectively use and manage various Microsoft Office/365 applications , including Windows 11, Outlook, Word and Excel, and OneDrive.
You would work with our team of experienced and engaged staff to deliver outstanding customer service and experience.
Punctual attendance.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand diagrams, instructions, and specifications. Handy with tools. Ability to learn and follow verbal and written Instructions. Ability to identify and resolve assembly issues.
Valid Driver’s License (to drive various company vehicles) including large delivery vehicles with a Clean drivers abstract.
A Team player with a positive attitude with good customer service and communication skills. We are looking for someone motivated to learn and grow within our growing company,
Physical Ability: Ability to lift 150lbs and move heavy items safely using provided material handling equipment, including BBQs, Fireplaces and hot tubs.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with team members, clients and supplier partners.
Time Management: Ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform calculations related to installation, inventory management and other tasks.
Experience: Previous experience in gas-burning or electrical appliance installation, repair or assembly would be beneficial.
Ability to operate (or be certified to) a forklift.
An interest in barbecues, hot tubs and fireplaces is always welcome!
Compensation and Benefits: No less than 35 hours per week, starting at $21/hour. Plus added attainable bonuses. Access to our Employee Benefits (HCSA) after 3 month probationary period. pay plan will be reviewed after your probationary period.
Daytime scheduling and no late nights, we are open Monday to Saturday until 5pm. including 2 Saturday shifts per month (you would receive an alternate day off those weeks) and after 5pm the odd time when needed.
