The Opportunity: A Role of Trust & Ownership
We are seeking a Sales and Logistics Coordinator who takes immense pride in their work and understands that precision is non-negotiable. This is not a typical coordination role; it is a position of high trust and ownership at the core of our operations. You will be the accountable hub of our entire order fulfillment process, ensuring our critical safety products reach their global destinations flawlessly. What You'll Do: Your Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Logistics & Trade Compliance
- Take full ownership of coordinating domestic and international shipments across all freight modes (LTL, FTL, Air, Ocean, Parcel).
- Meticulously prepare, verify, and manage all shipping and customs documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin to prevent errors.
- Work proactively with customs brokers to ensure seamless import/export processes and compliance with all regulations, including CARM.
- Quote and obtain cargo insurance for shipments, mitigating risk and protecting company and customer interests.
Proactive Coordination & Problem Solving
- Serve as the primary, reliable point of contact for customers regarding order status, providing clear and proactive communication from start to finish.
- Track all deliveries and take ownership of resolving any logistics issues, including delays, exceptions, and freight damage claims.
- Collaborate closely with our production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure a smooth, transparent, and efficient order flow.
Operational & Financial Integrity
- Maintain pristine and accurate order and customer records in our ERP system (NetSuite).
- Partner with the finance team to prepare and issue customer invoices and assist with professional, timely accounts receivable follow-ups.
- Review, approve, and process freight invoices, taking the lead on investigating and resolving any billing discrepancies with carriers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing logistics data and supporting projects to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Who You Are: Qualifications & Skills
Core Competencies (What you must have):
- An unwavering commitment to accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail; you treat every single shipment as critical.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a logistics, supply chain, or sales coordination role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing domestic and international shipments, including import/export processes and working with customs brokers.
- Solid, practical knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and compliance (e.g., Incoterms, CARM).
- An ownership mindset with initiative and proactivity.
