Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Long Term Care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care with a focus on comfort and well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
- Provide support for patients with acute care needs, dementia, and pain management.
- Assist in case management and coordinate care plans with healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Point Click Care
- Educate patients and families on health management and medication usage.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Practical Nurse license from CNO
- Nursing home experience preferred
- Familiarity with chronic health conditions and dementia.
- Proficient in medical terminology and medication administration techniques.
- Experience with electronic health records is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on empathy and understanding.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $27.27-$43.38 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
