Job Summary:
- Clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues.
- Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for our hotel guests, associates and vendors.
Job Duties:
- Maintain a clean and tidy housekeeping cart.
- Maintains store rooms in a clean and orderly fashion to ensure efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms.
- Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms public areas and hallways.
- Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and walls. Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors and sinks.
- Replaces all used linen and amenities.
- Sweep, mop, & vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways.
- Inspects rooms ensuring all items function (ie: locks, hair dryer, lights, remote, TV, etc.)
- Shows a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Stocks housekeeping cart during and at the end of the day.
- Maintain recycling process.
- Able to help in the laundry room when needed.
- Performs any additional duties given.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
- Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning tasks.
- Ability to push or pull cart up to 60 lbs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Can communicate effectively with guest, co-workers and management.
- Can work a flexible work schedule.
- Ability to know, understand and follow all established cleaning procedures.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
