Position: Part-Time Manager Assistant & Creative Support
Location: Motive Art Academy – Southcentre Mall, Calgary
Hours: Evenings + Some Weekends (flexible part-time, 20–35 hours/week)
Pay: $15/hour
About the Role:
We’re looking for a responsible, motivated, and creative individual to join Motive Art Academy. This is more than just a sales job — you’ll xwork directly with the owner, helping manage the store, engage with customers, and support daily operations including events, social media, and visual merchandising.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with kindness and professionalism
- Manage the store independently during evening/weekend shifts
- Help organize, tidy, and restock the store
- Take photos/videos of artwork and events
- Create and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook)
- Assist with planning and setting up workshops, displays, and in-store promotions
- Share ideas for store layout, marketing, and community engagement
Qualifications:
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Tech-savvy and familiar with social media tools
- Smart, organized, and eager to learn
- Energetic, friendly, and creative
- Has a good eye for design and presentation
- Passionate about art, handmade goods, and supporting local artists
- Reliable and able to work independently
Ideal Candidate:
- A student or part-time worker looking for a creative, meaningful role
- Must be available for flexible evening and weekend shifts with consistent reliability
- Brings initiative and positivity to the team
- Spanish-speaking is a plus
