Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires effective leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and a commitment to creating a welcoming dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to foster a positive work environment.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Micros POS, for cash handling and transaction management.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction with their dining experience.
- Monitor financial performance and manage budgets effectively to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including kitchen areas and dining spaces.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest experiences.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems (Micros POS preferred).
- Background in food preparation, cooking, serving, or barista experience is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
