To help our company grow to new heights we are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist who would be reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. The successful candidate will contribute and support the transfer of product design from development to manufacturing, maintenance and improvement of production processes at Cadex Canada.
TITLE: Quality Assurance Specialist
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates, reviews, revises, implements and maintains procedures and processes to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) at Cadex and adherence with applicable international standards and regulations.
- Prepares, supports, and participates in quality and regulatory audits, assuring readiness.
- Drives cross functionally the completion of non-conformances, CAPAs, deviations, reworks and all associated investigations ensuring root cause analysis, action plans and effectiveness checks are accurately completed.
- Supports the CAPA management process by ensuring that CAPA investigations and implementations are performed compliantly and closed in a timely manner.
- Performs risk assessment analysis and enables team members to perform risk assessment for applicable processes.
- Conducts QA reviews on protocols, reports and associated development and production documentations. Provides QA inputs on production equipment and/or process validation and verification.
- Performs customer change authority assessments and change request reviews and approvals.
- Provides QA support in the creation of DMR (Device Master Record) and in the DHR (Device History Record) package generation.
- Prepares, supports, and participates in quality and regulatory audits, assuring readiness.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify gaps in the QMS, to implement process improvements and best practices and to drive initiatives to reduce waste and improve yield.
- Provides trainings to employees on quality standards, procedures and best practices, including the use of quality tools and techniques (i.e., Statistical Process Control (SPC)). Develops training materials, as needed.
- Addresses customer complaints and quality-related inquiries in a timely and effective manner, conducting investigations and implementing corrections and corrective actions, as needed.
- Participates in customer audits and provides quality-related information and support as needed.
- Liaise between Cadex and customer with regards to quality-related concerns and issues.
- Oversees SCARs from initiation to completion to ensure vendor and material issues are properly resolved to support Supplier Management process and Production.
- Supports qualification, evaluation and monitoring of suppliers based on their ability to supply products or services in accordance with established requirements and standard procedures.
- Ensures scorecards and performance assessments of suppliers are conducted and completed according to standard procedures in a timely manner with proper documentations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within an electronics manufacturing industry involved in production / product design support, manufacturing processes, testing or verification is preferred.
- Experience working in an environment regulated by ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA regulations, guidelines, and associated standards.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC methodologies, tools, and manufacturing processes.
