Project Manager – Retail POS Transformation
Location: Greater Toronto Area (Onsite offices Downtown Toronto or Brampton)

Contract Duration: 12 Months
Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite engagement
Background
A leading retail client in the GTA is undergoing a major Point-of-Sale (POS) system upgrade, transitioning to a cloud-based solution. The initiative is already well-structured and underway, and we’re looking for a seasoned Project Manager to guide it to completion. The PM will be instrumental in managing the complexities of the initiative — including cross-functional risks, stakeholder alignment, and operational impacts — as we aim to go live next year.

Qualifications
- 10–15 years of project management experience (or less with strong maturity and excellent communication)
- Retail industry experience highly preferred; POS upgrades or cloud migration projects are a plus
- Strong technical fluency with the ability to learn, absorb, and reflect on technology implications
- Proven stakeholder management skills with exceptional EQ and IQ
- PG (Program Governance) experience is a strong asset
- Executive-level communication — articulate, empathetic, and persuasive across multiple audiences
- Lead project delivery, including scheduling, budgeting, scope management, and dependency tracking
- Proactively identify and resolve risks, issues, and moving parts across the initiative
- Communicate clearly and strategically with executives, technical teams, and vendors
- Read the room — demonstrate situational awareness and emotional intelligence in all engagements
- Serve as a bridge between business objectives and technical execution
- Ensure alignment with go-live timelines and overall project goals
