Production Worker

Prairie Hill Farms is looking for a competent Production Worker to help with the

organization and running of the daily production operations of the company. The

ideal candidate should be hard-working, friendly, possess a desire to learn and

grow, punctual and have an open-minded attitude. The worker should have prior

knowledge and experience in a food production facility, or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the manufacturing and production of various berry products
• Clean and sanitize equipment and facility ensuring sanitation requirements are met
• Working in a team environment to achieve production and customer targets
• Able to proactively problem solve and keep operations flowing smoothly
• Work under pressure with an emphasis on Health and Safety
• Diligently fill out production and sanitation paperwork as necessary
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements to management
• Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
• Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages – inventory control

Skills and Competencies

• Proven experience in a production facility with food handling knowledge
• Experience using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
• Proficient
• Thorough and diligent in production and cleaning tasks
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and SQF preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Must have been employed for at least 1 year in a food facility or equivalent
• Manufacturing experience
• Basic math skills
• Advanced use of the English Language – Spoken and written.
• Outgoing, positive, and enjoy collaborating with people.
• Above average communication and people skills
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP

Assets

• Prior food industry experience
• Knowledge GMP and HACCP

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
