We require an experienced individual to motivate 30-40 unionized production employees per crew to start immediately.

A strong focus on our safety program is paramount in producing a consistent quality product for our customers. The successful candidate will have previous supervisory experience in a production facility, good written and oral communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work shifts including day, afternoon, graveyard, and weekends.

The ideal candidate will have a positive, up-beat attitude who takes their responsibilities seriously and is willing to grow within the company.

As the Production Supervisor your responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to, the following:

1. Supervision and organization of a unionized workforce of around 40 employees

2. Ensure workers are organized for maximum output with minimal wasted effort.

3. Ensure safe and effective operation of equipment by the operators

4. Identify training requirements and direct training.

5. Monitor attendance, call replacements and arrange overtime as required

6. Conduct regular crew meetings

7. Follow production schedule as outlined or adjust as needed

8. Continuously look for areas of improvement in all areas of the Company

9. In consultation with Production Superintendent, interpret and apply the Labour Agreements and Company Policies

10. Communicate Company policies and philosophies to workers keeping them informed on matters that concern them and assist in solving work related problems.

11. Counsel employees and apply fair and consistent discipline in accordance with the Labour Agreement

12. Conduct Accident Investigations as required

13. Ensure safe working conditions, employees are trained in safety procedures and encourage positive attitudes toward Safety

14. Ensure that production reports and quality check sheets are completed as required

15. Complete employee time sheets (electronically and paper) and submit to payroll

16. Medical exams, criminal record check and credit check may be required
