Job Summary
The Product Family Leader is a senior manager responsible for managing a set of Products to deliver business solutions over the life of the Products from initial development, through deployment and adoption, ongoing support and ultimately to end of life. They will manage NAV CANADA’s current data centre technology products supporting both business (IT) and operational (OT) systems including server and storage, data protection, endpoint computing, desktop virtualization, and endpoint security.

They will direct their team to maximize business results. They are innovative and great communicator who collaborate with stakeholders across the business and technology to develop and convey product visions and roadmaps.

In this role you will:
  • Lead a direct team of managers with a total team of technology professionals.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap covering the product’s full lifecycle that are aligned with NAV CANADA business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Deliver products that align with the enterprise architecture and technology direction of NAV CANADA and are consistent with enterprise priorities.
  • Partner with business leaders to establish a prioritized set of requirements for business solutions that improve the overall effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of NAV CANADA’s business operations.
  • Drive business decisions for all investments and vendor selection for software and implementation.
  • Secure investment for Product Roadmap initiatives, following the NAV CANADA approved processes.
  • Establish and manage operating and capital budgets to fulfill the Product Roadmap.
  • Report and track Product metrics across business, quality, and control dimensions.
  • Research and interpret industry and technology trends
What you bring:
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in IT/OT and/or business.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing people in a business or IT/OT environment
  • Demonstrable experience implementing/using products described in the job summary or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience of engaging executives and other stakeholders to support important business decisions
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the product delivery principles, product, or portfolio management discipline
  • Demonstrable knowledge of financial models and plans
  • Knowledge of change management practices.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technology and/or business administration related discipline or equivalent work experience

Working Conditions:
  • Travel is required less than 10% of the time
  • General office environment
  • This position is a hybrid position with a minimum – 3 days per week on site. However, effective this Fall (2025) there is a requirement of the employee to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
