We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the pharmacy setting.
- Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks, including filing and record keeping.
- Participate in medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient care practices and protocols is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is necessary for effective communication within the healthcare team.
