Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant who has successfully completed a Pharmacy Assistant course to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality service in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting.
Duties
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on medication usage.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Manage inventory levels by ordering supplies, checking stock, and organizing medications appropriately.
- Support medication administration processes by preparing doses and labeling medications for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective communication and teamwork.
- Perform routine clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining cleanliness in the pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medication administration practices is an advantage.
