Lead the financial stewardship of Squamish Nation as Manager of Accounting, ensuring fiscal integrity that supports our Úxwumixw (community). Your expertise will directly contribute to transparent financial reporting and strategic decision-making, upholding Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values of accountability and intergenerational responsibility.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide harm reduction education and distribute supplies with wenáxws (respect) at community events
  • Connect members to cultural supports, Elder Advisors, and wellness services
  • Facilitate workshops and naloxone training using trauma-informed approaches
  • Engage hard-to-reach members through creative outreach in Squamish Valley and North Shore
  • Gather community input to shape harm reduction programs and services
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and partner organizations
  • Maintain confidential records while protecting member privacy
  • Participate in team meetings and community events
  • Help plan and implement health and wellness initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Lived or living experience with substance use or mental health challenges
  • 1+ years experience in peer support or community health roles
  • Knowledge of harm reduction principles and Indigenous health approaches
  • Strong connections to First Nations communities and culture
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building trust
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including some evenings/weekends
  • Reliable transportation for community outreach
  • Cultural humility and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh values, sovereignty, and self-determination.

Salary: $ 47,000 - $ 66,000

Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
