Position: Part-Time Office Administrator
Location: Hamilton, Ontario
Hours: 27.5 hours per week (flexibity for vacation/sick coverage)
Hamilton Psychological Services is a warm, client-centered private psychology practice dedicated to supporting mental health and well-being in our community. We are currently seeking a reliable, organized, and compassionate Office Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and manage appointment scheduling (in-person and virtual)
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations
- Process billing, insurance claims, and payments
- Support psychologists with administrative tasks and office organization
- Ensure the office environment is welcoming and well-maintained
Qualifications:
- Previous administrative or office experience (healthcare or mental health setting preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, scheduling systems)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently; detail oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with staff and clients.
