Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office environment and be familiar with electronic medical records systems.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage phone systems, handling incoming calls and directing them appropriately.
- Schedule appointments and maintain patient records using electronic medical records software such as Libra MD
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments and any necessary paperwork.
- Understand and utilize medical terminology to assist in patient interactions and documentation.
- Support dental reception duties as needed, ensuring seamless operations within the dental office environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Libra MD a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and administrative procedures is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective patient interaction.
- Proficiency in managing front desk operations and phone systems is highly desirable.
