✅ Set the Stage: Arrange rooms with chairs, tables, and equipment as per event contracts. Double-check details to ensure everything is perfect before guests arrive.
✅ Bring It All Together: Prepare and arrange linens, polished glassware, silverware, and china with precision.
✅ Keep Things Fresh: Provide coffee breaks, refresh rooms, and follow special instructions to maintain top-notch service.
✅ Tidy Up Like a Pro: Clear tables, pack up dishes and linens, and clean meeting/banquet rooms promptly and thoroughly.
✅ Assist and Adapt: Help guests transport meeting materials and respond swiftly to requests or last-minute changes.
✅ Problem Solver Extraordinaire: Identify and address any guest concerns and communicate unresolved issues to the manager on duty.
✅ Stay Sharp: Report maintenance issues and ensure rooms are vacuumed and pristine before setups.
✅ Keep It Clean: Maintain organization and cleanliness in all back areas and storage rooms.
✅ Go the Extra Mile: Perform other duties as needed to make sure every event runs smoothly.
What You Bring to the Table:
We’re looking for enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Here’s what we’re hoping to see:
Experience: At least one year of serving experience in the hotel-hospitality industry, preferably in banquet service within a full-service hotel.
Certification: ProServe certification is a must, along with knowledge of local liquor laws.
Customer Focus: A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences – you’re the type of person who’s always ready to go the extra mile!
Professionalism: Polished presentation and experience working in upscale environments.
Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Team Player: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while excelling as part of a high-energy team.
Attention to Detail: The ability to juggle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
Physical Readiness: Able to lift/push/pull heavy objects between 11-25 kg (approximately 25-55 pounds) without exertion.
Flexible Availability: Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is a setting that has the following conditions: low noise environment; high traffic area for internally and external guests, exposure to office equipment such as photocopier, fax and telephone, potential exposure to theft and/or belligerent guests.
