We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Attendant to join our team.

ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing support to families during their time of need. This position requires a blend of professionalism, empathy, and the ability to handle various tasks associated with funeral services. The Funeral Attendant will assist in the preparation and execution of funeral services while ensuring a respectful and dignified environment for grieving families.
Responsibilities
Assist with the setup and breakdown of funeral services, including arranging flowers, caskets, and other necessary items.
Greet and support family members and guests as they arrive at the funeral home.
Provide assistance during visitations, memorial services, and funerals.
Provide transportation of deceased individuals to and from the facility and so you would be comfortable with the deceased.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the funeral home premises including washing vehicles and some yard work.
Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed, including moving caskets and other equipment.
Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure smooth operations during services.
Support sales efforts by providing information about available services to families.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in mortuary science is a plus.
Previous experience in a customer service role would be advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with with good communication skills and an emphasis on empathy and compassion.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A valid driver’s license with an abstract is required for transportation duties.
Altho very seldom, you may be required to work evenings and weekends under unusual circumstances. This position is essential in helping families navigate their grief while ensuring that all aspects of the funeral service are handled with care and respect.
