Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter/Finisher to join our restoration team. The ideal candidate is experienced in both interior and exterior painting, as well as surface finishing techniques. You will play a vital role in restoring homes and properties to their original condition following damage. This position requires someone who can work independently or as part of a team, maintains high safety standards, and delivers quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, patching, taping, priming, etc.)
- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces
- Perform minor drywall repairs, surface texturing, and finishing work
- Install baseboards, caulking
- Ensure all painting and finishing work meets PuroClean’s quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients
- Follow job site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
- Drive to job sites in a company vehicle as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional painting/finishing experience (residential or commercial)
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, or as part of a team
- Familiarity with common painting tools, equipment, and safety practices
- Physically fit and able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform repetitive tasks
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (RCMP clearance may be required)
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in the restoration industry
- Knowledge of other trades (drywall, carpentry, etc.)
- WHMIS or other safety certifications
