About the position:
Under the supervision of the Team Leader and in conjunction with the program team, the Community Disability Services Worker (CDSW) is responsible for delivery of services and programs supporting individuals with disabilities. Generally, the CDSW is responsible for overall support of the individuals, within the parameters of the program. The CDSW may also be responsible for delivering basic care, competency development, and recreational services to all or a portion of the individuals in the program.
McMan is looking for a full time Overnight Community Disability Services Workers for the PDD Funded Services in Crowsnest Pass. Crowsnest Pass is located approximately 140 km west of Lethbridge.
The schedule for this position is 8:00 pm to 8:00 am, 4 days on/4 days off.
Here’s how you will contribute as a Community Disability Services Worker within the Program:
- Carry out person-centered plans to support adults with disabilities with their personal development, community involvement, behaviour management and personal care.
- Help individuals make and maintain shared, respectful relationships with others in the community, to support meaningful participation and inclusion, including participation in employment, volunteer, recreational, and other social settings.
- Encourage and help individuals to advocate on their own behalf.
- Create clear and objective records, required reports, and other essential documentation.

Here’s what you’ll need to get an interview:
- Post Secondary education in human services or related field; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Six months’ experience in disability services; two years’ experience preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor.
- Demonstrate professionalism within all aspects of employment, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a team.
- Microsoft Office abilities (SharePoint, One Drive, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C or CSA Standard Z1210-17 Intermediate First Aid Certificate.
- Clear Intervention Record Check and Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector dated within past six months.
- Valid Canadian Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance.
