We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as an Optometric Receptionist. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks. The Optometric Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
- Answer phone calls and emails promptly, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling needs.
- Verify insurance information and process insurance claims accurately.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist with billing and payment processing.
- Keep reception area tidy and organized.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and computer software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of optometry terminology and procedures is a plus.
