Overview
As a Bookkeeper and Office Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, and providing administrative support to our team.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
- Handle payroll processing, including tracking employee hours and benefits administration.
- Manage tax filings, including HST/GST and payroll remittances.
Office Administration
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure a well-organized workspace.
- Respond to customer inquiries and ensure a high level of service.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for billing and project needs.
- Manage schedules, appointments, and meetings for the management team.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Assist with project documentation, permits, and compliance requirements.
- Handle employee health benefit registration and correspondence.
- Support the hiring process, including job postings and onboarding paperwork.
- Manage WSIB reporting.
Experience
- Proven experience in an office administration role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and tax filing processes.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant office software is highly desirable.
- Experience in supervising teams or training staff is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and vendor management will be advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50-$24.00 per hour
