This Position reports to:
Local Division Manager
ABB Motion provides pioneering technology, products, solutions and related services to industrial customers to increase energy efficiency, improve safety and reliability, and maintain precise control over processes. The portfolio includes motors, generators and drives for a wide range of applications in all industrial sectors.
Your Role: Own the Challenge
- Drive profitable revenue growth and increase ABB Motion’s market share in target industry segments and accounts.
- Define and implement segment strategies through detailed playbooks, setting clear targets and approaches.
- Build strategic partnerships and relationships with key customers and influencers to capture new business.
- Collaborate with regional distribution and OEM sales teams to achieve sales mix targets for Motion Canada.
- Identify and prioritize major accounts, ensuring account plans and growth actions are in place and executed.
- Monitor performance, anticipate gaps, and take proactive actions to meet targets.
- Apply standardized sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, account plans) and provide market intelligence to divisions.
- Strengthen ABB’s visibility through marketing efforts, lead contract negotiations, manage risks, and develop high-performing teams.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
- Minimum 10 years in direct sales or sales management, with a strong background in business development, account management, and cross-selling.
- Proven ability to drive sales excellence, foster collaboration, and lead with a coaching mindset to structure and guide teams effectively.
- Solid understanding of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial/legal terms, with a professional, customer-focused approach. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, high integrity, and the ability to build long-term C-level relationships and influence within the industry.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (SFDC), with the ability to travel up to 40% across Canada.
- French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
