We currently have an opening for a MRE Conversion Planner on a 2-year contract basis.
The MRE Conversion Planner reports to the Senior Program Manager and operates under the guidance of the Conversion Project Planner to provide all necessary information to the Program Management Office (PMO) for the successful and efficient execution of projects. This position is closely integrated into the aircraft conversion lifecycle, ensuring the accuracy and currency of documentation, ERP data, and related deliverables across all phases of the program.
Acting as a critical link between strategic planning and operational execution, the MRE Conversion Planner plays a key role in aligning daily activities with broader program objectives. The role demands a high level of diligence, precision, and proactive coordination across stakeholders.
In this role your duties will include the following:
- Responsible to create, maintain, correct, and close Modification Packages and Shop Work Orders as applicable to the Conversion Program
- Responsible for uploading additional work scope changes such as AD’s, SB’s, Repairs, Engineering Orders, Drawing Revisions, obsolescence and long lead items) and their related parts in ERP system under the guidance of the Conversion Project Planner.
- Develop and maintain multi-level Manufacturing, Production and Assembly bill of materials (BoM) including parts, assemblies, subassemblies and component requirements needed. The BoM’s will comprise of the raw material number of each component, together with the quantity and unit of measure and will also outline the details needed to meet the scheduled product delivery including production process, and assembly instructions under the guidance of the Conversion Project Planner.
- Set up and generate task level purchase requisitions in ERP to include part number, item description, quantity, specifications/technical details, required by date, supplier information as available and relevant project information.
- Work closely with Supply Chain monitoring parts progress and provide real-time feedback to the Conversion Project Planner identifying bottlenecks, risks and late to schedule parts, improving future planning cycles.
- Create accurate work tasks, parts and work order templates and their relationships for upload into the ERP system as required.
- Responsible for generating and distributing hard copy task cards and work packages related to Conversion Modification Packages and Shop Work Orders to Production.
- Responsible to maintain currency as applicable to Conair Memos, Maintenance Bulletins, and notices.
- Consult with internal stakeholders to ensure work package expectations are being met.
- Daily/weekly reporting on planning related data; Workorders, Labour, Parts, YTD Spend, Burndown Charts and PO Parts status
- Assist with evaluation and maintenance of technical documents and system data critical for compliance, traceability, and decision-making in collaboration with the Conversion Project Planner.
- Work with the Conversion Project Planner increasing internal capabilities & efficiencies to support Programs.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Conair’s Policies and Procedures and applicable regulations.
- Complete assigned tasks and related paperwork in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Perform other related duties as required
- Knowledge of the principles of planning and project management is an asset.
- Knowledge of Aircraft Modifications or Manufacturing, technical records, and technical documentation.
- Ability to react quickly and efficiently to Conair’s needs and make decisions to remove roadblocks.
- Ability to prioritize activities, be self-motivated, work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Must be detail oriented and have a strong ability to maintain accurate records. Naturally organized and methodical with a focus on efficiency.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must have an intense desire to meet and exceed Conair’s goals and objectives while being a strong, professional team player with the ability to focus on customer requirements in a dynamic environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Ramco - ERP System
- Strong MS Excel capabilities
- Ability to work with Office 365 applications. Power BI is an asset
- Aviation-related experience
- Post-Secondary accredited courses related to data entry, record keeping or program planning is an asset.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Valid Passport and ability to travel worldwide.
