SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administrative tasks include booking appointments, sending referrals and faxes, answering messages, prioritizing and following up with patients’ appointments, and attending to tasks assigned by the physician.
- Provide professional service to all existing and new patients
- Respond promptly to all patient inquiries via phone or in person.
- Create and maintain electronic patient records.
- Administer patient billing for uninsured services, collect overdue payments and process receipts.
- Billing and submit OHIP billings to the MOH.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information.
- Proficiency in computer applications: Microsoft Office programs, and email.
- Exceptional organizational skills and Attention to detail.
- Ability to manage difficult patients. Strong problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Training will be given.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Certificate or Diploma in Medical Office Administration is an asset
- 2-3 years’ experience in medical care setting is REQUIRED.
- Accuro EMR experience is an asset.
- Customer service skills with passion for providing quality and compassionate care.
- Organized, detail‑oriented and a successful multi‑tasker.
- Quick learner and efficient with technology
- Dependability, punctuality and excellent attendance are essential.
