Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations in a busy medical office environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently with both patients and healthcare professionals. Familiarity with electronic medical records and office procedures is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems, CHR
- Verify patient information, including insurance details, prior to appointments.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
- Provide support in managing daily operations of the front desk.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental office, medical office, or similar administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with standard phone systems and administrative software.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
