Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Runner to join our healthcare team. This role is for 1-2 days per week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires an enthusiastic person, who is well-organized and committed to maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment.
Duties
- Bringing patients into exam rooms and ensuring they are prepped for the physicians
- Records vitals of each patient and growth measurements are required
- Preparation & sterilization of exam rooms after each patient.
- Assisting physicians and nurses as necessary & required.
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
- Maintain patient records accurately using medical office software ( Accuro)
- Occasionally assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence as required
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology and office protocols while handling sensitive information.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with the EMR Accuro is an asset
- Strong understanding of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the office.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with patients and staff.
