Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience a primary care medical clinic such as a family practice and/or walk-in clinic in Ontario.
Duties
- Utilize EMR (i.e. Avaros) for patient scheduling and record-keeping
- Manage front desk operations within the medical clinic
- Maintain electronic medical records accurately and efficiently
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and greet patients
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology in daily tasks
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in a primary care medical clinic such as a family practice and/or walk-in clinic in Ontario
- Proficiency in using EMRs.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
- Ability to operate phone systems and other office equipment effectively
- Experience as a dental receptionist or front desk assistant is beneficial
- Excellent English speaking skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- MOA medical clinic: 2 years (required)
- Ontario EMR: 2 years (required)
