Full Job Description – Medical Booking Department Coordinator
DESCRIPTION: The Canadian Diagnostic Network (CDN) is Ottawa's trusted Radiology & Imaging services. Our focus centers on the patient and their family as we strive to meet their healthcare needs with personal attention and respect. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and compassionate Booking Department Coordinator to join our dynamic team across several diagnostic clinic locations. This is an in-clinic position, working Monday to Saturday. You will be responsible for managing appointment bookings, coordinating patient schedules, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. Occasional reception duties may also be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a medical office or booking department preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Comfortable using scheduling and EMR systems
- Able to work independently across different clinic locations
- French is preferred
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ABILITIES (representative but not all inclusive):
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments accurately based on clinical requirements
- Confirm appointment details with patients or with referring health professionals via phone, email, or fax
- Answers incoming calls, emails, fax promptly and professionally, responding to inquiries with accuracy and a strong focus on appointment coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize scheduling and workflow
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to clinic protocols
- Review referrals and ensure necessary documentation is received before booking
- Manage daily schedule changes, cancellations, and rescheduling requests
- Support front-desk operations as needed, including check-in/check-out
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.20 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
