Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team and contribute to the daily operations of our busy butcher shop. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in meat cutting and be ready to start immediately. Previous experience as a meat cutter or butcher is required.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately cut, portion, and prepare a variety of meats according to specifications and orders.
- Ideal candidate should be comfortable with de-boning a carcass efficiently.
- Apply knowledge of different cuts and proper handling techniques to ensure optimal product quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and rotation of meats and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to guidelines and standards in all meat cutting processes.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, informing management of any supply needs or shortages.
- Uphold health and safety regulations, including proper use and maintenance of sharp tools and machinery.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in meat cutting to ensure consistent and high-quality products.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to start immediately and be flexible with scheduling.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
