Nisa Foundation is a community-based charity that has promoted safety, security, and mental wellness for racialized women across Canada since 2014. The organization provides toll-free peer-to-peer counseling services, transitional homes for women & children fleeing abuse or homelessness, and facilitates educational workshops. Nisa Foundation's mission is to transform communities by engaging, equipping, and enriching the lives of women and children to reach their full potential.
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing all marketing related activities for the NF Programs, including Nisa Homes, Nisa Helpline, and Nisa Learning; planning and strategizing, processing design requests, generating content for online and print marketing, implementing a brand strategy, executing all social media campaigns, and reporting all marketing related developments to stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
Marketing Strategy
- Assist the Marketing Manager in developing and implementing the marketing plan and strategy, including setting objectives, organizing promotional presentations, and maintaining updated calendars.
- Continuously enhance marketing knowledge through workshops, research, seminars, and sharing best practices with the team.
- Regularly update proficiency in marketing tools and platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Keela, Metricool, Raisely, and others.
- Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the team, providing clear instructions for execution and promotion.
Email Marketing and Content Campaigns
- Evaluate and optimize email marketing campaigns, analyzing performance metrics such as open rates and click-through rates to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and execute follow-up emails with refined subject lines, layouts, and content for higher engagement and conversion.
- Measure and report the success of email campaigns, using data-driven insights to improve future strategies.
- Create and manage segmented donor campaigns, tailoring messages for first-time, recurring, and lapsed donors.
Graphic Design Coordination
- Prepare detailed creative briefs for design requests and collaborate with the Social Media Lead for reviews and approvals.
- Provide constructive feedback on design drafts, including feedback from managers and leads for more complex projects.
Social Media and Content Management
- Plan, strategize, and execute content for social media, email, print marketing, landing pages, blogs, and other platforms.
- Manage social media accounts across platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube, ensuring content aligns with the brand.
- Create engaging content designed to increase followers and improve engagement rates.
- Maintain a content calendar to organize and schedule posts across platforms, generating fresh and relevant content ideas for each channel.
- Stay informed about social media and content marketing best practices through ongoing professional development.
Blog and SEO Content Development
- Research, plan, and write blog content on topics such as mental health and wellness, with a focus on addressing issues relevant to the audience.
- Optimize all written content for SEO while maintaining an authentic and consistent voice.
- Manage the blog content calendar and contribute creative ways to promote blog content on digital platforms.
Content Repurposing Across Platforms
- Adapt long-form content, such as reports or impact statements, for various platforms including emails, blogs, and landing pages.
- Maintain consistency in messaging and ensure alignment with the organization's tone and voice across formats.
- Measure the performance of repurposed content to refine future approaches.
Project Management & Reporting
- Use tools like ClickUp to update and track project progress, communicating updates to stakeholders regularly.
- Participate in team meetings and daily touchpoints to align on project timelines and deliverables.
- Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, providing actionable insights for the team.
Website Content Management
- Update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand messaging.
- Collaborate with internal teams and the Web Team to plan, design, and launch engaging landing pages, blogs, and other website updates.
- Optimize website content for SEO, focusing on effective keyword usage, metadata, and readability.
- Assist with troubleshooting and coordinate with the Web Team or developers to address technical issues or implement new features.

What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a marketing role
- Computer literacy with MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and Google Apps
- Literacy in Design Software (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is an asset.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the Muslim charity/not-for-profit sector
