The Role
As the Marketing Coordinator you'll be a key part of our exciting digital transformation, improving how we show up online and connect with our community. You’ll execute strategies that directly impact our brand's growth and engagement. This is a position where you’ll move between creative projects and detail-driven tasks that make a real impact. You’ll be part of a team that develops and refines our marketing strategy, with a focus on executing the day-to-day work.
Who You Are
You turn creative ideas into compelling content and have an eye for a great shot. You're a self-starter, eager to learn, and can take a project from an idea to a finished product. You're always looking for ways to improve and strive to lead by example, regardless of employment capacity or role. You hold a post-secondary diploma or certificate in marketing, and, most importantly, you are highly organized, dependable, and a great communicator.
What You’ll Do
- Content Creation: Develop your skills in creating stand-out content that showcases our products and brand lifestyle. You'll plan, create, and publish valuable content across platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
- Inventory Marketing: Use your eye for detail to capture high-quality photos and videos of our inventory. You'll write benefit-driven product descriptions and ensure every unit has a complete, accurate, and appealing listing.
- Digital Presence: Keep our digital presence fresh by updating website content, promotions, and our Google Business Profile. You'll apply SEO best practices to listings and blogs.
- Email & Communication: Write content that’s clear, engaging, and tailored to the platform, from product details to captions to emails. You’ll build and send email campaigns and segment audiences for targeted messaging.
- Administrative & Organizational Support: Stay on top of the details by tracking manufacturer promotions and managing marketing assets, including branded apparel and promotional products.
- Analytics: Watch how our marketing performs, spot what’s working, and bring forward ideas to make it even better. You’ll monitor analytics from social platforms, our website, and email and use that data to contribute to our planning.
- Professional and Personal Development: Share in the team culture of continuous self improvement. You'll actively participate in performance planning exercises, and stay informed on all applicable company policies.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in content creation and digital media.
- Strong Canva skills and the ability to create polished, on-brand designs.
- The ability to capture high-quality photos and videos, especially with a smartphone, and an eagerness to learn professional editing techniques.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and Mailchimp.
- Familiarity with Asana for project management, and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro for video editing and Lightroom for photo editing, is considered an asset.
- The ability to adapt to new systems such as our website's backend and LightspeedDMS.
- Strong writing skills for different platforms and audiences.
- Familiarity with SEO basics.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects with a proven ability to maintain high productivity and organization to consistently meet deadlines
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative, with a willingness to bring forward new ideas and see them through.
