The Position - A Professional Opportunity to Join a Dynamic Team
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Manager of Human Resources will provide strategic advice and leadership in all aspects of human resources to support the overall business plan and workplace health for the City of Salmon Arm. Key responsibilities include: recruitment, selection and retention, employee and labour relations, collective bargaining, performance management, disability management, investigations, compensation and benefits, retention, establishing programs and policies, and overall human resource strategy and administration.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a human resource management role ideally in municipal government with a sound understanding of recruitment, labour relations, policy/program development and implementation within a unionized environment. The successful candidate will be an experienced and well-rounded professional who is both strategic and operational.
