Job Overview
We are seeking a Manager, Dental Hygiene Talent Acquisition to lead the development and execution of comprehensive recruitment strategies designed to attract and retain top dental hygiene talent across Canada. In this role, you will set the vision and pathway for how we engage, source, and build relationships with Registered Dental Hygienists (RDHs), ensuring a consistent and sustainable pipeline of qualified professionals to meet the needs of our practices nationwide.
You will collaborate closely with senior clinical leadership to design innovative recruitment plans, strengthen our employer brand within the dental community, and develop partnerships with colleges, universities, and professional associations. This position is highly strategic in nature, with responsibility for building long-term talent attraction strategies while also providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to recruitment staff.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Design and implement a national recruitment strategy specifically focused on dental hygienists, aligned with business goals and growth needs.
- Develop proactive workforce planning tools and forecasts to anticipate supply and demand for dental hygiene talent.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen our employer brand among RDHs, positioning us as the employer of choice across Canada.
Pipeline Development & Partnerships
- Establish and grow relationships with dental hygiene colleges, universities, professional associations, and community groups to build strong recruitment pipelines.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, industry events, and campus initiatives to attract new graduates and experienced professionals.
- Create pathways for long-term talent attraction, including national graduate recruitment programs, referral programs, and strategic partnerships.
Recruitment Strategy Execution
- Oversee recruitment campaigns for RDHs across Canada, leveraging social media, digital platforms, and targeted outreach to attract diverse talent.
- Partner with the Marketing Team to design innovative digital campaigns and social engagement strategies tailored to the dental community.
- Provide strategic recommendations for addressing hard-to-fill roles and regional shortages, including headhunting and alternative sourcing methods.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide expert guidance, coaching, and training to hiring managers on recruitment best practices and effective selection techniques.
- Mentor and support recruitment staff, ensuring alignment with national hiring strategies and service excellence.
- Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve candidate experience, recruitment processes, and onboarding practices.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare recruitment reports and market insights for the Executive Team, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities within the dental hygiene talent market.
- Monitor KPIs and success metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of national recruitment campaigns and make data-driven adjustments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of progressive recruitment experience, ideally with exposure to healthcare, clinical, or professional services sectors.
- Proven expertise in developing and executing large-scale recruitment strategies and workforce planning initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment systems, job boards, ATS, and sourcing tools (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn).
- Human Resources Professional designation (CPHR) considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
