Position objective:

To be accountable for the delivery of goods to our customers and business partners through the efficient, safe and cost-effective transportation of freight.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervisor and resource planning for a team of Logistics Coordinators plus dedicated D2C delivery crews in the GTA
  • Management of and accountable for all daily transport and 3PL warehousing operations in Eastern Canada (inbound, outbound and returns handling)
  • Ensure effective and efficient transport capacity management with focus on D2C appliance delivery
  • Remediation of service failures – damaged goods, delayed/missed deliveries, negative customer experiences.
  • Work in the field a minimum of once monthly to review and audit D2C delivery and installation operations for quality, safety and SOP compliance. Additional days as required for support, supervision and escalation remediation.
  • Ensure compliance to relevant transport regulations (customs clearing, dangerous goods, environmental)
  • Ensure the adherence by external transport service providers to the terms within any service level agreements
  • Maintain up-to-date records of valid insurance certificates for all external delivery partners

Requirements:

  • Academic qualification or relevant work experience
  • 5 years business/people management experience, logistics
  • D2C White/durable goods experience considered a major asset
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Project Management
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Well structures Process and e2e thinking
  • Good IT understanding (e.g. SAP, ASW, TMS)
  • Strong communication skills to all organizational levels
