Job Summary
The Restaurant at True Wild Distilling is looking for a Line Cook. This position works directly with the Chef and Sous Chef focusing on a la carte dining and banquets. The roster is scheduled around a 4 day work week. A Culinary education or appropriate level of on-the-job training and similar restaurant experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Cook food items by grilling, frying, baking, or sautéing as per the recipe specifications
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is cooked in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist with food inventory and ordering as needed
Qualifications
- Must have active employment authorization to work in Canada
- 2 years of previous kitchen experience is preferred.
- Culinary education and/or appropriate level of on-the-job training and club, hotel or similar restaurant experience is preferred.
- Valid trade certification/Journeyperson papers/Red Seal or equivalent is preferred.
- Candidates must be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
- Requires moderate supervision and training.
- The position requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, handling, reaching, grasping, lifting 50 lbs., and repetitive motions.
