Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position requires a passion for cooking and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations.
- Follow food safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Help with meal preparation for special events or large orders as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and holidays as required.
