Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared according to our standards, maintaining a focus on food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist with meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new techniques within the culinary field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
