We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning, taking into account dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Perform food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, demonstrating proper food handling techniques.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service to guests.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the food preparation process.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant settings with a strong understanding of the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal preparation.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Experience in catering services is a plus but not required.
