We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring that every plate meets our high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times, including proper food handling techniques
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required
- A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills
