Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our standards of excellence while maintaining food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper handling techniques to ensure a safe dining experience.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
