Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to at all times.
- Assist in meal preparation for service, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; restaurant experience is preferred.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
