As part of our growth, we are seeking a motivated Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our practice, with a primary focus on corporate and commercial law. Real estate law experience is not required but will be considered an asset.
The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, client-focused professional who values excellence, organization, and a collaborative firm culture. This is a full-time role , offered under a hybrid work model that provides both in-office and remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with incorporations, annual maintenance, share transfers, and corporate reorganizations.
- Prepare and file corporate documents (Name Requests, Notices of Articles, resolutions, transparency registers, etc.).
- Support commercial transactions, including drafting and reviewing closing documents, due diligence searches, and PPSA filings.
- Manage and maintain corporate records and minute books.
- Draft correspondence and assist with document management.
- Provide general administrative support as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal (corporate/commercial focus preferred).
- Strong knowledge of BC Corporate Registry filings and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management software (experience with Unity is an asset).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
