Salary Range
$32.04 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $36.06 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

WHAT IT TAKES
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.
- Public Speaking ability.
- Excellent working knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory. equipment and apparatus together with good working knowledge of safety measures related to the operation of the Biology laboratory, including GHS (WHMIS).
- Good working knowledge of English (written and verbal).
A demonstrated ability to:
- Communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff, and the public.
- Work independently with minimum direct supervision.
- Establish priorities and achieve deadlines.
- Effectively demonstrate proper laboratory techniques.
- Maintain current knowledge in the field of biology.

Additional Information
- This on-call position (range from 0 to max 35 hours per week) is available starting September 2, 2025.
- There are no regular hours of work; this position will be called in to cover vacation and illness.
- Shift days and times will change depending on the Department’s need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
- The successful candidate must be available for work at both the New Westminster and Coquitlam campuses.
