We are small independent family run business in Ladner seeking a local Kitchen Helper/Delivery Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting all kitchen duties which include preparing ingredients (cut, chop, fry, sort), making dough, handling pizzas in and out of ovens and preparing other menu items such as fries and salads. You will also deliver orders with your own vehicle in the South Delta region. This will result in additional tips and/or delivery fee going directly to you. This is a small family business that relies on teamwork, cooperation and attention to detail. This all comes through with your positive attitude that translates to happy customers.
Main duties:
- Preparing ingredients for pizzas/flatbreads which includes chopping, mixing, organizing
- Baking pizza in a gas fired Wood Stone Pizza oven, which requires attention to cooking and rotation
- Ability to use a deep fryer for additional menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper hygiene practices
- Work as a team member taking instruction and initiative from Manager and Pizza Chef
- Delivering pizzas and food items carefully and efficiently within Ladner and Tsawwassen
Qualifications:
- Access to a vehicle and a valid drivers license
- Friendly, outgoing and polite offering amazing customer service
- Available to work during store opening hours, M - Th. 11am - 8pm; Fri - Sat 11-9pm
- Ability to work in a fluctuating environment that can be fast-paced with multiple orders simultaneously, or down time used for maintenance, preps and cleaning
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with coworkers and customers. A bright, friendly and caring attitude is a must
- Previous experience working in a cafe/restaurant environment or other food service establishment is an asset
