Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be a strong and positive leader, who is fundamental in assisting the Head Chef in managing operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food prep and cooking techniques.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness & organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Train new kitchen staff on proper food handling procedures and safety practices.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Handle customer complaints or issues related to food service promptly, professionally and in a positive manner.
Skills
- At least 1 year experience in a Junior Sous Chef or CDP role
- 4-5 years of Professional Culinary experience
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Demonstrative ability to prepare and cook dishes from scratch to a high standard.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Excellent leadership capabilities, fostering a positive team environment.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management and cost control.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Outstanding Knife skills.
- Ability to supervise multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to engage with customers in an Open Kitchen environment in a friendly, professional and energetic manner.
