Junior Forest Technician

DWB Consulting Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated Junior Forest Technician to join our dynamic team and support forestry projects across British Columbia. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for outdoor work in a forested setting. Prior experience or education in forestry related field is an asset. Duties

Fieldwork and Data Collection:

• Assisting with timber cruising
• Assisting with road and boundary layout
• Road and boundary traversing
• Assisting with Ecological data collection
• Assisting with riparian classification
• Assisting with pre-harvest cut block reconnaissance

Qualifications

Education:

• Current enrollment or a recent graduate in a Diploma or degree in Natural Resource Management with a focus on forestry or a related field.

Experience:

• No experience required.
• Familiarity with timber cruising and related forest survey techniques is an asset.

Skills:

• Attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and remote locations.

Additional Skills and Assets:

• Knowledge of provincial and federal forestry and environmental regulations.
• Eligibility to enroll with Forest Professionals BC is an asset.
